Propolis Salve is the best-selling product on our site, so maybe it’s time to say a few words on the subject. Those bees know what they’re up to! Propolis is the unsung wonder product of the beehive. Collected by the older, wiser bees of the hive, sap of various trees is worked by the bees until it is sticky and golden brown in colour.
They use the propolis to polish and clean their home (we add a little to our own beeswax polishes), to fill gaps and glue things into place. It is anti fungal, anti bacterial and it smells wonderful. We use this salve on minor cuts, grazes, burns and bites – we find it soothes and helps to speed up healing times.
